Kerem sabahın erken saatlerinde Avrupa Pasajı'nın girişinde durdu. Pasaj boştu ve şehir hâlâ uyanmaktaydı. Elinde fotoğraf makinesi, sabahın sessiz güzelliğini yakalamaya hazırdı. Sessizlik, tarihin hafif bir fısıltısı gibiydi. Kerem, şehrin tarihi yüzünü keşfetmeye hazırlanırken huzurlu bir merak duydu.

Kerem yavaşça pasaja girdi, ayak sesleri usulca yankılanıyordu. Eski saatler, kitaplar ve posterlerle dolu antika dükkânlarının arasında dolaştı. Her nesne geçmişten bir hikâye anlatıyor gibiydi. Taş kaldırımlara dokunarak eski zamanların izlerini hissetmeye çalıştı. Vitrindeki bir fotoğraf makinesine bakarken zaman yavaşlıyor gibiydi.

First Step into the Arcade

Kerem'in gözleri vitrindeki eski bir cep saatine takıldı. Saat ona şehrin farklı bir zaman dilimindeki halini merak ettirdi. Zamanın akışını ve şehrin nasıl değiştiğini hayal etti. Saatin arkasında, tarih duygusunu artıran eski bir İstanbul haritası asılıydı. Antika kitaplar vitrinde sıralanarak nostalji katmanlarını derinleştiriyordu.

Kerem araştırdıkça geçmişle bir bağ kurduğunu hissetti. Pasajdaki her nesne eski İstanbul'un sırlarını fısıldıyor gibiydi. Şehrin yaşayan bir hikâye kitabı gibi olduğunu fark etti. Her adımda şehrin tarihiyle daha da iç içe olduğunu hissetti. Kerem pasajdan hikâyelerle dolu bir kalp ve anılarla dolu bir fotoğraf makinesiyle ayrıldı.
