Ambue, the lion, steps on a thorn in his paw.  He seeks help from Mr. Elephant, Mr. Giraffe, Mr. Snake and finally Mr. Baboon comes to the rescue to remove the thorn.

Ambue, the lion, was walking through the savannah one sunny day. He was enjoying the warm sun on his back. Suddenly, he felt a sharp pain in his paw. Ambue looked down and saw a big thorn stuck in it. He tried to pull it out but it hurt too much. Ambue knew he needed help. So, he decided to find his friends in the savannah.

He roars in pain as he limps towards the bushes.

Ambue meets Mr. Elephant and asks "Mr. Elephant, will you remove this thorn from my paw"?  Mr. Elephant tries to use his trunk to pull out the thorn. But it was too big and clumsy. Mr. Elephant replies, "I wish I could but my trunk isn't able to remove the sharp thorn from your paw"

Soon, he saw Mr. Giraffe eating leaves from a tall tree. 'Mr. Giraffe, will you remove this thorn from my paw?' Ambue called out. Mr. Giraffe bent his long neck down to see. He tried to use his mouth to pull out the thorn. But his neck was too long and he couldn't reach properly. "I wish I could but my long neck can't get the thorn from your paw."

Ambue felt sad but kept going. He found Mr. Snake slithering through the grass. 'Mr. Snake, will you remove this thorn from my paw?' Ambue asked. Mr. Snake looked at the thorn. He tried to use his mouth to pull it out. But his teeth were too sharp and it hurt Ambue more. 'I wish I could but I don't have any fingers to pluck out the thorn from your paw,' Mr. Snake said.

As Ambue walked, he met Simba, the baby lion cub. 'Ambue, what's wrong?' Simba asked. Ambue showed Simba his paw. 'Oh no, that looks painful,' Simba said. Simba tried to pull out the thorn with his little teeth. But he wasn't strong enough. 'I'm sorry, Ambue. I can't help,' Simba said. Ambue patted Simba on the head and kept searching.

Ambue was feeling very sad now. Then, he saw Baboon swinging from branch to branch. 'Baboon, can you help me remove the thorn from my paw?' Ambue asked. Baboon swung down to see.  Baboon had nimble fingers and a gentle touch. 'Let me try,' Baboon said. He carefully grabbed the thorn and pulled it out. 'There you go!' Baboon said with a smile.

Ambue felt a huge relief as the thorn was removed. 'Thank you so much, Baboon!' Ambue said. 'You're welcome, Ambue,' Baboon replied. Ambue looked at his paw and saw it was already feeling better. He was so happy to have such helpful friends.

A Sigh of Relief

Ambue wanted to tell everyone about Baboon's help. He went back to Mr. Elephant first. 'Mr. Elephant, Baboon helped me!' Ambue said. Mr. Elephant was happy to hear the news. 'That's wonderful, Ambue,' Mr. Elephant said. Next, Ambue went to Mr. Giraffe. 'Mr. Giraffe, Baboon helped me!' Ambue said. Mr. Giraffe smiled and said, 'I'm glad to hear that, Ambue.'

Ambue then went to find Mr. Snake. 'Mr. Snake, Baboon helped me!' Ambue said. Mr. Snake was pleased. 'That's great news, Ambue,' Mr. Snake said. Ambue thanked Mr. Snake again for trying to help. 'I'm happy you found someone who could help,' Mr. Snake said. Ambue felt grateful for all his friends. He knew they all cared about him.

Ambue found Simba playing in the grass. 'Simba, Baboon helped me!' Ambue said. Simba looked up and smiled. 'That's great, Ambue!' Simba said. 'I'm glad you're feeling better.' Ambue and Simba played together for a while. They chased each other and had lots of fun. Ambue felt so happy to have such good friends.

Ambue wanted to do something special for Baboon. He thought hard about what Baboon might like. Then, he had an idea. Ambue gathered some delicious fruits from the jungle. He brought them to Baboon. 'Thank you, Baboon, for helping me,' Ambue said. Baboon was very happy. 'These are my favorite fruits! Thank you, Ambue,' Baboon said.

A Special Thank You

Ambue realized now that whenever his friends are in pain, he must also be there for them.  Baboon and Ambue became best friends and lived happily ever after in the African savannah.
