An Afrolatina Navidad

Jupiter was so excited! It was her first time seeing snow. She ran outside and caught the snowflakes on her tongue. Mommy smiled and took pictures of Jupiter's joyful face. They built a snowman together and had a snowball fight. Jupiter's cheeks turned rosy from the cold, but she was so happy.

Jupiter's First Snow

Mommy and Jupiter went to pick out a Christmas tree. They chose the perfect one and brought it home. Mommy put on some cheerful music, and they decorated the tree with colorful lights, shiny ornaments, and sparkly tinsel. Jupiter carefully placed the star on top. The tree looked magical!

Decorating the Christmas Tree

Jupiter and Mommy spent the day making tamales, a special Christmas tradition from Mommy's home country. They spread the masa on the corn husks, added the delicious fillings, and carefully wrapped them up. Mommy taught Jupiter the secret family recipe. The kitchen smelled amazing!

Making Tamales

On Christmas Eve, Mommy and Jupiter gathered with friends and family. They sang carols, danced, and enjoyed a feast of tamales, rice, and beans. Mommy and Jupiter exchanged gifts and hugged each other tightly. Jupiter felt so happy and loved. As they said 'Feliz Navidad' to each other, Jupiter knew that this Christmas was the best one yet.
