Ella was excited and a little nervous. Today was her first day at nursery. Her best friend, Brian the cat, watched her pack her backpack. Brian felt sad because he would miss Ella. He decided he didn't want to be left behind.

Brian had a sneaky plan. When Ella wasn't looking, he jumped into her backpack Ellas mammy didn't notice Brian hiding. They headed off to nursery. Brian stayed very quiet.

At the nursery, Ella met new friends. She told them all about Brian, her cat. 'I miss Brian already,' she said. Her friends listened eagerly. They wanted to know more about the adventurous cat.

Brian explored the nursery. He sniffed the toys and climbed on the tables. The children followed him, giggling. Brian was the center of attention. Ella was happy to have her best friend with her.

Mrs. Lormor decided to let Brian stay for the day. The children promised to be gentle with him. Brian enjoyed all the new sights and sounds. He even took a nap in the reading corner. Everyone loved having Brian around.

Soon, it was time to go home. Ella packed her backpack again, this time with Brian sitting beside her. Mrs. Lormor smiled and said, 'Brian can visit anytime.' Ella hugged her teacher. She couldn't wait to tell her mammy all about Brian's adventure.
