One day, during recess, Daniel met a new friend named Mia. She seemed sad, so Daniel asked if she wanted to play.

Mia nodded, and together they began building a sandcastle. Daniel felt happy seeing Mia smile.

He remembered when his grandmother needed help and said, "Let me carry these for you!"

After school, at the playground, Daniel's friend Alex lost his favorite toy car. Alex was very upset and started to cry.

Daniel remembered how he felt when he lost his own toy once. He sat next to Alex and said, "I know how you feel. Let's look for it together!"

They searched and found the toy under the slide. Alex smiled, and Daniel felt happy for helping his friend.

Later, Daniel saw a little girl named Lea fall and scrape his knee. She started to cry, and Daniel remembered how scared he felt when he fell off his bike last week.

He knelt beside Lea and said, "It’s okay. I’ll get help." Daniel ran to find Lea’s mom, who came over to clean his knee.

Lea smiled at Daniel through his tears, and he felt proud for helping.


Comforting a Hurt Child
