Juda's Journey: A Tale of Hope and Faith

It is early morning, and Juda, a young boy, is washing oranges on the beach in Beira. Not too far from where he lives in a small shack with his mother Adina. Juda and Adina are desperately poor, and it has been more than a year since Juda has gone to school. So, every morning Juda is gifted a box of fruit by his neighbour, Madam Santos. Before he heads to the beach to wash the fruit and then walk the busy palm tree-lined streets of the city to sell them. When night falls Juda heads home, to a tiny thatched roofed shack made from stones, reeds and clay. Before Adina became unwell, Juda used to attend school at a big Church in the school. Now like many children in Mozambique Juda cannot afford a school uniform, and he has to work to support himself and Mama-Adina.
