Little Sadie is excited to learn her first of many of her families Gulla Geechee recipes from her Nona (Grandmother) BJ. Her family are African Descendants and have a close relationship with the earth and ancestors who they believe becomes their spirit guides and guardian angles once they transition to the other side. Today Nona BJ was going to teach her hot to make hot water cornbread  and butter from scratch. This is her first recipe.  With each once Littsadie will earn a special power from her tribe of ancestors that will help her along the way. Little Sadie will meet her spirit guide Anna Marie and Her guardian angel Helen Mildred. On her journey to gather the ingredients her an Nona BJ need. 

Little Sadie's Spiritual Adventures in Cooking

Little Sadie woke up with a big smile on her face. Today was the day she would learn her first family recipe from her Nona BJ. She rushed to the kitchen where Nona BJ was waiting with a warm hug. 'Are you ready to make hot water cornbread and butter from scratch?' Nona BJ asked. Sadie nodded eagerly, her eyes sparkling with excitement.

The Exciting Morning

As Sadie and Nona BJ gathered the ingredients, a gentle dove flew in through the window. 'Hello, Sadie,' the dove said softly. 'I am Anna Marie, your spirit guide.' Sadie was amazed and felt a warm glow in her heart. She knew this was going to be a special day.

Nona BJ showed Sadie how to mix the cornmeal and hot water together. 'Stir it gently, like this,' she instructed. Sadie followed along, feeling proud of herself. Anna Marie watched from a nearby perch, offering gentle encouragement. 'You're doing great, Sadie,' she cooed.

Next, Nona BJ and Sadie needed to gather ingredients to make butter. 'We'll need fresh cream from the farm,' Nona BJ said. As they walked to the farm, a soft breeze blew by. Sadie felt a presence and turned to see a glowing figure. 'I am Helen Mildred, your guardian angel,' the figure said with a smile.

'I will help you on your journey,' Helen Mildred said. With her guidance, Sadie and Nona BJ collected the fresh cream. Helen Mildred showed Sadie how to churn the cream into butter. 'It's hard work, but worth it,' she said. Sadie felt strong and capable with her guardian angel by her side.

Back in the kitchen, Sadie and Nona BJ fried the cornbread patties in a hot skillet. The delicious smell filled the air, making Sadie's tummy rumble. 'Now, let's add the butter,' Nona BJ said, spreading it on the hot cornbread. Sadie took a bite and felt a burst of warmth and happiness. 'You did it, Sadie!' Anna Marie and Helen Mildred cheered.

Sadie closed her eyes and felt a connection to the earth and her heritage. 'You now have the power to bring warmth and comfort to others with your cooking,' Nona BJ explained. Sadie felt a deep sense of pride and responsibility.
