Lily was excited about her class science presentation. She wanted to create something magical and unique. So, she decided to visit her teacher Mr. Pippin for advice. Mr. Pippin was known for his amazing experiments. He welcomed Lily with a warm smile and was eager to help.

Mr. Pippin explained the difference between mixtures and solutions. As Lily was trying to do the experiments on her own, Lily got confused and didn't know what to do. She was getting jumbled up and felt like all her experiments were spinning in circles. Lily remembered that Mr. Pippin encouraged her to keep trying and not give up.

So that same day when Lily went back home she tried different experiments, like mixing oil and water. Lily learned why some things don't mix, like oil and water. She discovered the magic of density and solubility. Oil and water don't mix because oil is less dense than water and therefore it floats to the surface of the jar.

The next day she came back to class to present her experiment and held out a paper of the steps she took to get there. She then showed her class how to carefully mixed the right amounts of her solute and solvent, her water and oil. Her solution was beautiful and colorful, impressing the class. At the end of her presentation, Lily won an award for "Most Improved". She learned that even when things get hard, it always good to remember not to give up and great things will be learned!
