Marissa’s Visit from the Fire Department

One sunny morning, Mom gently woke Marissa up. 'Time to feed Parker,' she said. Marissa rubbed her eyes and whispered, 'Mom, my bed is wet.' Mom looked surprised but gave her a reassuring smile.

While changing the sheets, Marissa leaned closer to Mom. 'I have a secret,' she giggled. 'The Fire Department is visiting me tonight!' Mom's eyes widened, a mix of confusion and concern dancing in them.

As night fell, three firemen climbed a ladder to Marissa's window. They showed her their fireproof gear and taught her to 'stop, drop, and roll.' Marissa, thrilled, pretended to call 911, immersing herself in the role of a firefighter.

Nighttime Adventures

Outside, the firemen showed Marissa the fire truck and hose. She tried holding the hose, but it sprayed all over, even on her bed. Later, sitting on the now dry bed, Marissa and Mom laughed. 'Was it all a dream?' Marissa wondered.
