Maraj family is a tight knit group of people who frequently get together for almost every occasion, whether it’s a football game, holiday dinner, or just another weekend, they find time to meet and share the occasion together.  Halloween is Melodys favorite holiday, something she and uncle Jay have in common, but when he doesn’t show up or call, she starts to worry. She keeps asking where Uncle J is, it’s always a different answer. He’s at work, he’s out of town, he’s with friends, he’s on vacation. Finally she finds out he’s really in jail

Mommy, where did uncle Jay go?

It was Halloween, Melody's favorite time of the year. The Maraj family gathered at Grammy's house, ready for a night of fun. Melody was excited to see Uncle Jay, who loved Halloween just as much as she did. She looked around, but Uncle Jay was nowhere to be found. "Mommy, where did Uncle Jay go?" Melody asked, but Mommy just smiled and said he was busy at work.

The Halloween Surprise

Days passed, and Melody still didn't see Uncle Jay. Every time she asked, the answer was different. Daddy said Uncle Jay was out of town. Grammy mentioned he was visiting friends. Melody began to wonder if she would ever see him again.

The Disappearing Uncle

The family gathered again, this time for a weekend barbecue. Melody was happy to see everyone, but she missed Uncle Jay. She asked Kashous, "Where did Uncle Jay go?" Kashous hesitated, then said, "He's on vacation." But Melody knew something wasn't right. She decided to ask Milli, hoping for a real answer.

Milli sat with Melody and gently told her the truth. "Uncle Jay is in jail," she said softly. Melody was surprised and sad, but Milli explained that Uncle Jay made a mistake and was learning from it. The family promised to visit him and send him their love. Melody realized that even when things are tough, family always sticks together.
