My Big Emotions - Evie and Mr Kuddlekins first day at school

Evie was getting ready for bed the night before her first day at school. She had a funny feeling in her tummy, like butterflies fluttering around. She was worried she wouldn't make any friends at her new school. Her mummy noticed Evie's worried face and came to sit beside her on the bed.

The Funny Feeling

Mummy reached over to the shelf and took down a soft, light brown teddy with a blue bow tie. 'This is Mr Kuddlekins,' she said with a smile. 'He's going to keep you company at school tomorrow.' Evie hugged Mr Kuddlekins tight and felt a little better. She whispered to him, 'I hope I can make friends tomorrow.'

As Evie hugged Mr Kuddlekins, she felt a strange warmth spreading from her arms. To her surprise, the teddy seemed to come alive! 'Don't worry, Evie,' Mr Kuddlekins whispered in a soft, comforting voice. 'I'll be right here with you, and we'll have a wonderful day at school together.' Evie's eyes widened in amazement.

The next day at school, Evie held Mr Kuddlekins close. Whenever she felt nervous, she whispered to him, and he would whisper back words of encouragement. Soon, Evie found herself smiling and talking to other children. With Mr Kuddlekins by her side, she made new friends and had a fantastic first day at school.
