A young black girl just started coming to the beauty salon and needs help getting her hair healthy and growing. She plays sports and her mom doesn't know how to maintain her natural hair at home.  She eats at home healthy foods that promote hair health, like fruits, vegetables, nuts, and fish.

She comes to the beauty salon once a month for hair maintenance, tips and suggestions to growing beautiful fabulous hair. The hairstylist gave her tips: the importance of avoiding excessive heat, taking vitamins, drinking water, sleeping on a satin pillow case or silk scarf, explaining the importance of a healthy scalp with illustrations of gentle scalp massages and using natural oils.

My Fabolous Healthy Hair Journey

Delea was excited. She was going to the beauty salon for the first time. Her mom, Claire, had found a special place that could help with her hair. Delea loved playing sports, but it made her hair hard to manage. Claire hoped the salon could give them tips to keep Delea's hair healthy and strong.

Meeting Claire

When they arrived, the salon was bright and welcoming. A friendly stylist named Maria greeted them. Maria showed Delea how to wash her hair properly. She also gave tips on using conditioner to keep it soft. Delea felt happy and hopeful.

The First Visit

Maria suggested they visit the salon once a month. She also taught Claire how to braid Delea's hair for sports. This would protect it from damage. Delea learned to use a soft brush and avoid tight hairstyles. Each visit, she felt her hair getting healthier.

Learning New Tips

Months passed, and Delea's hair grew long and strong. She loved her monthly salon visits and the new styles Maria created. Claire was happy too, knowing how to care for Delea's hair at home. Delea felt proud of her beautiful, healthy hair. It was a fabulous journey, and they were excited for more.
