Nola woke up early, feeling very excited. Today was her first day of kindergarten! She put on her cute new pink dress and looked in the mirror. Her mother had braided her hair, and she felt very special. Nola couldn’t wait to go to school and make new friends.

When Nola arrived at school, she saw many children playing. She felt a little shy at first but then saw a girl smiling at her. 'Hi, I’m Mia,' said the girl. 'Do you want to play with me?' Nola smiled back and said, 'Yes, I’d love to!'

Meeting New Friends

In the classroom, Nola met her teacher, Mrs. Green. Mrs. Green was very kind and showed them many fun activities. Nola learned how to write her name and count to ten. She also painted a picture of a rainbow. Nola loved learning new things.

After school, Nola ran to her parents with a big smile. 'I made a new friend and learned so much today!' she said. Her parents were very proud of her. Nola couldn’t wait to go back to school the next day. It was the best first day ever!
