Birds chirped happily, and squirrels scurried about. The Bushcraftman felt peaceful and excited. Little did he know, this adventure would teach him important lessons.

The Adventure Begins

While walking through a dense part of the forest, The Bushcraftman heard a loud crack. A tree branch had fallen nearby! He quickly realized he needed to be more careful. The first step in his First Aid Primary Survey was Danger. He looked around to make sure there were no more falling branches. Once he felt safe, he continued his journey. This reminded him to always check for danger first.

A Sudden Danger

As The Bushcraftman walked further, he saw someone lying on the ground. He rushed over to check if they were okay. He called out, 'Are you alright?' but there was no response. He gently shook the person's shoulder to see if they would wake up. Still, there was no response. He knew the next step was to Shout for help. He called out loudly, hoping someone nearby would hear him.

The Bushcraftman shouted, 'Help! Someone is hurt!' He hoped someone would come quickly. While waiting, he remembered the next step: Airway. He carefully tilted the person's head back to open their airway. He checked if they were breathing by looking, listening, and feeling for breaths. Luckily, the person started to breathe again. The Bushcraftman felt relieved but knew he still needed help.

Calling for Help

Just then, another explorer arrived. The Bushcraftman explained what happened and the steps he had taken. The new friend helped him move the injured person to a safer spot. Together, they made sure the person was comfortable. The Bushcraftman felt proud of his quick thinking. He knew he had done everything right so far. They waited together for more help to arrive.

A Hero Arrives

While waiting, The Bushcraftman noticed a cut on the injured person's arm. He knew he needed to stop the bleeding. He took a clean cloth from his backpack and pressed it on the cut. When the bleeding slowed down, he applied a bandage. For bigger cuts, he knew to use two bandages if needed. The injured person started to wake up and thanked The Bushcraftman.

If there was no water, any cold liquid would do. This helped to cool the burn and ease the pain. The person felt much better. The Bushcraftman was glad he remembered his first aid training.
