Ruby was excited, her day had begun. She hopped on the bus, ready for fun. Off to the city, with her daycare friends. A day full of joy, that never ends. They sang songs and played games. Ruby loved hearing her friends' names. The bus ride was long but filled with cheer. Ruby knew a great adventure was near.

The bus arrived, and they stepped out. The city was busy, without a doubt. Tall buildings and shops, so much to see. Ruby held hands, feeling free. They walked through streets, wide and tall. Ruby's eyes sparkled, she loved it all. The city was big, with so much to do. Ruby felt happy, everything was new.

As they strolled along, Ruby saw a sight. Her mummy was there, it felt so right. Mummy was having coffee with a friend. Ruby's excitement knew no end. She tugged on her teacher's sleeve. 'Can I see Mummy, please don't leave?' The teacher smiled and said, 'Okay.' Ruby's joy brightened the day.

They found shoes with stars and some with bows. Ruby's happiness truly shows. She picked a pair, her favorite ones. Mummy said, 'Let's have more fun!'

In the next aisle, costumes galore. Ruby's eyes widened, she wanted more. She found a dress, just like a princess. It had sparkles and lace, truly endless. Mummy helped her put it on. Ruby felt like the break of dawn. She twirled and danced, feeling grand. Mummy held her little hand.

Before heading home, Mummy had a surprise. She handed Ruby a box, to her delight. Inside was a doll, dressed so fine. Ruby hugged it, 'This is mine!' The doll had a dress with sparkles too. Ruby named her 'Star,' it felt so true. Mummy smiled, 'I'm glad you like.' Ruby's joy was at its height.
