Nico and Carla were playing with a shiny, red toy train. It was the fastest train in the whole playroom. Both of them loved it so much, but there was only one train. Nico wanted to drive it through the tunnels, while Carla wanted to make it go over the bridge. They both grabbed the train at the same time and started to pull.

The Toy Train

Nico and Carla didn't want to let go of the train. "It's my turn!" shouted Nico. "No, it's my turn!" said Carla. They kept pulling and pulling, and the train wobbled. Just then, Marta, their teacher, walked over to see what was happening.

The Tug of War

Marta knelt down beside them and smiled. "Why are you both pulling the train?" she asked gently. Nico and Carla both explained how they wanted to play. Marta nodded and said, "Sharing is a wonderful thing. When you share, everyone gets a turn and has fun together." Nico and Carla thought about what Marta said.

Marta's Lesson

Nico and Carla decided to take turns with the train. First, Nico drove it through the tunnels while Carla cheered. Then, Carla made it go over the bridge, and Nico clapped. They both laughed and realized sharing was much more fun. From that day on, they always shared their toys and played happily together.
