The animals cheer as Digsby and Tim finish their work, return to the yard, and rest after a productive day.

The Digger Who Lost His Wheel

Once upon a time, deep in the magical forest of Buildington, there lived a hardworking little digger named Digsby. Today, Digsby had a very important task: to finish building a new road for the animals of the forest.

But Digsby didn’t work alone. His best friend, Tim the Driver, was always there to help. Every morning, Tim would arrive at the yard and climb into Digsby’s cab. Together, they made the perfect team!“Let’s get started!” Tim said, as he turned the ignition key and started Digsby’s engine with a loud vroom, vroom! The road was almost finished, but there was still a lot of work to do.

The Perfect Team

Tim drove the digger over to the big pile of sand that was needed for the road. "Alright, Digsby, let’s scoop up the sand," said Tim, carefully using the arm to lower the bucket. Digsby’s sharp teeth of the bucket dug into the sand, and they filled up the bucket in no time. Clunk! The bucket was full. “Let’s upload the sand into the dumper truck,” Tim said. Digsby’s bucket lifted high and dropped a mound of sand into the truck. "Perfect!" said Tim. "Now we’re ready to finish this road."

An Unexpected Mishap

But as they drove further down the path, something unexpected happened. Digsby’s ride started to feel a little bumpy. Suddenly, there was a loud clunk! "Oh no!" shouted Tim. "Digsby’s lost a wheel!" One of his big, round wheels had fallen off and rolled away down the road. Without the wheel, Digsby couldn’t move. "We need to put the wheel back on before we can keep working!" said Tim.

Help from Max the Loader

Just then, along came Max the Loader. "Don’t worry, Digsby," Max said. "I’ll help you find the wheel and fix it."Max quickly scooped up the runaway wheel with his arm and brought it back. "Let’s put the wheel back on," Max said, and with a bit of teamwork, they attached it securely. Digsby was back in action!

"Thanks, Max!" said Tim. "Now, we can finish the road." They scooped up more sand, filled the bucket, and quickly dropped it into the dumper truck. Next, they spread the sand evenly along the road, making sure every part was covered. Just then, Robbie the Roller arrived to help. "I'll smooth everything out for you," said Robbie, rolling back and forth, pressing down the sand to make it flat and firm.

After a long day of work, the road was finally finished! The animals of Buildington could now walk safely across the new road. They cheered as Digsby and Tim waved goodbye.

"Time to go home," said Tim. He drove Digsby back to the yard and carefully parked the digger next to the other machines. "We’ll need you again tomorrow, Digsby!" Tim said with a smile. He turned off the engine, and with a final wave to the animals, it was time for a well-deserved rest.
