1.A lion lay asleep in the forest, his great head resting on his paws. A timid little mouse came upon him unexpectedly, and in her fright and haste to get away, ran across the lion's nose. 

2..Awoken from his dreamy nap, the lion laid his huge paw angrily on the tiny creature to kill her. “Spare me!" begged the poor mouse. "Please let me go and someday I will surely repay you." The lion was amused to think that a mouse could ever help him. But he was generous and finally let the mouse go.

3.Some days later, while stalking his prey in the forest, the lion was caught in a hunter's net. Unable to free himself, he filled the forest with his angry roaring. The mouse knew the voice and quickly found the lion struggling in the net. 

4.Running to one of the great ropes that bound him, she gnawed it until it parted, and soon the lion was free. “You laughed when I said I would repay you,” said the mouse. “Now you see that even a mouse can help a lion.”

In a quiet forest, a mighty lion lay asleep with his big head resting on his paws. A little mouse, timid and small, stumbled upon him by accident. In her hurry to escape, she ran right across the lion's nose. The lion stirred, waking from his nap with a start. The mouse was terrified, but she couldn't stop running.

The lion, now awake and annoyed, caught the tiny mouse under his huge paw. The mouse trembled and begged, 'Please spare me, and one day I will repay your kindness.' The lion found this idea funny, thinking a mouse could never help him. But he was also kind-hearted and decided to let the mouse go. The mouse scurried away, grateful for her life.

A Plea for Mercy

A few days later, the lion was prowling in the forest when he got trapped in a hunter's net. He roared loudly, trying to break free, but the ropes were too strong. The little mouse heard his roar and recognized the voice. She hurried through the forest to find the lion in trouble. The lion was struggling, and the mouse knew she had to help.

The mouse quickly began to gnaw at the ropes with her sharp teeth. She worked hard until one of the ropes snapped. Soon, the lion was free from the net. 'You laughed when I promised to repay you,' said the mouse. 'Now you see that even a little mouse can help a mighty lion.' The lion thanked the mouse, and they became friends forever.
