The Little Girl and the Crawfish Hole

Bekah was playing in her backyard in Louisiana. She loved exploring every corner of it. One day, she found a small hole near the pond. Curious, she decided to investigate. Little did she know, it was a crawfish hole!

Bekah's Discovery

Bekah peeked into the hole and saw tiny crawfish scuttling about. She was amazed by their little claws and beady eyes. She decided to name the biggest one Clawdy. Clawdy seemed to be the leader of the crawfish family.

The Crawfish Family

Bekah visited the crawfish hole every day. She brought them small pieces of food and watched them eat. Clawdy and the other crawfish began to recognize her. They would come out of their hole whenever Bekah approached.

Making Friends

One day, dark clouds gathered in the sky. A big storm was coming, and Bekah was worried about her crawfish friends. She ran to the hole and saw that it was filling with water. She knew she had to help them.

The Storm

Bekah quickly grabbed a small bucket. She carefully scooped up Clawdy and the other crawfish. She made a safe little home for them in a big bowl inside her house. The crawfish were safe from the storm.

A Heroic Plan

The storm raged on for hours, but Bekah kept an eye on her crawfish friends. She made sure they had enough water and food. When the storm finally ended, she went outside to check the backyard. The crawfish hole was filled with mud.

The Storm Passes

Bekah knew she had to find a new home for her crawfish friends. She found a perfect spot near the pond, away from the mud. She carefully placed Clawdy and the other crawfish in their new home. They seemed happy and started exploring right away.

Bekah was happy to see her crawfish friends safe and sound. She continued to visit them every day. Clawdy and the crawfish family would always come out to greet her. Bekah knew she had made friends for life. And she learned that helping others always brings joy.
