The sea turtle s were hatching on saint Simon's. Tilly and her grandmother were going to West beach to swim and stay to watch the sea turtle hatch. The lighthouse was lite to show them the way. With flash lights in hand. They set off for the beach. As it got dark everyone on the beach turned on their flashlights everyone stood very  still and watched the hatchlings dig out of the sand and slowly make their way to the sea. Everyone was waiting for them to plunge into the sea 

The sea turtle plunge

Tilly was visiting her Grandmother for the summer. One sunny morning, Grandmother announced they had a special adventure planned. 'We're going to watch the sea turtles hatch,' she said with a smile. Tilly, with her long red hair bouncing, could hardly contain her excitement. She had never seen sea turtles before. They prepared their flashlights and a small bag with snacks and water. As the day turned to evening, they set off for West beach, eager for the night's adventure.

The Invitation

The walk to the beach was filled with anticipation. Tilly and her Grandmother talked about the wonders of sea turtles. 'They travel thousands of miles in the ocean,' Grandmother explained. As they arrived, the sun was just beginning to set, painting the sky in hues of orange and purple. They found a perfect spot on the sand and settled down to wait.

Tilly nodded, her eyes fixed on the sand, waiting for the first sign of movement.

'Go on, little one,' she whispered, as if it could hear her encouragement.

They helped guide the hatchlings by carefully positioning their flashlights, making sure they headed towards the water. It was a magical moment that Tilly knew she would never forget.

Tilly felt a mix of sadness and joy. 'They're all on their way now,' she said softly. Grandmother hugged her, 'Yes, they are. And we were here to see them off.'
