Where Did the River Go?

Sophie, the golden-brown squirrel with glossy bushy tail and white chest patch, looking concerned at a dried-up riverbed with muddy bottom. Forest trees in the background.

One sunny day, the animals of the forest discovered that the river, which had always been their source of water, had mysteriously dried up. The birds chirped in confusion, and the fish flopped helplessly in the mud. Sophie, the golden-brown squirrel, noticed the change first and quickly alerted her friends. Without the river, the forest would not survive. The animals knew they had to act fast to find out what happened.
